ABOUT LOVERSTEETH
Loversteeth is a Canadian act blending the aggression of modern metalcore and alternative metal with the lush, brooding atmospheres of post-rock. Their sound lives in the tension between beauty and intensity. Driven by surging rhythms, haunting synths, and expansive guitars, their songwriting is rooted in sonic exploration, introspection, and social commentary. Drawing influence from heavy music's most dynamic and atmospheric corners, the band crafts songs that balance crushing weight with vulnerability and cinematic scope.
During the writing and recording of Floral Violence, the band embraced a unified creative vision, engaging in honest conversations about pushing their sound into heavier territory while approaching every song with greater purpose and intention. The result is a record that arrives with force—uncompromising in its identity and designed to showcase more aggressive vocal performances alongside lyrical themes that explore the spiritual and psychological demands of navigating modern society and the day-to-day toll those pressures can take.
Since forming in 2022, Loversteeth have toured throughout Canada and the United States, supporting international acts including Vended, Celeste, Whores., and Silverstein. They've also performed at NXNE, Hamilton's Supercrawl Festival, and JunoFest 2026 while earning coverage from Exclaim!, No Echo, Toxic Metal Zine, Up The Volume, and Chasing Destino.
Beyond the stage, Loversteeth are dedicated community advocates, supporting local Hamilton charities including Helping Hamilton Homeless, Neighbour to Neighbour Centre, and Scott's Encore (Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation).
